The West Chester Friends School Library is a welcoming space where curiosity is sparked, imagination is illuminated, and a lifelong love of reading begins to grow. Its thoughtfully curated, ever-evolving collection reflects our students' interests while enriching learning across every grade level.Library classes invite students to explore literature from diverse voices, cultures, and perspectives. Lessons include a wide range of domestic and international readings, with analysis of both the narrative and illustrative elements of works as the through-line in group conversations. Together, they examine both the stories and the artistry that bring books to life, engaging in thoughtful conversations that deepen comprehension, strengthen critical thinking, and encourage empathy.

Each class concludes with one of the day's most anticipated moments: time to browse the shelves.
