WCFS Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At West Chester Friends School, we believe that diversity in all its forms enriches our community and strengthens our collective learning. Equity is the foundation of our practices, ensuring that each child has what they need to thrive. Inclusion calls us to actively dismantle barriers and foster spaces where differences are celebrated, and each person feels safe and supported.
We affirm that there is Light in each child, a unique and inherent worth that calls us to nurture a sense of belonging to all. Guided by our Quaker values of equality, community, and integrity, we strive to create a school environment where every individual- student, teacher, staff member, and family- is seen, heard, and valued.

At the heart of our efforts is belonging: the deep understanding that we are interconnected, and our shared Light illuminates a path toward mutual respect, understanding, and compassion. We commit to continually reflecting, learning, and growing in this work to honor the Light in each member of our community.
