West Chester Friends School

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS and ACTIVITIES

Students at West Chester Friends School enjoy a variety of school clubs and activities lead by teachers or parents. These experiences are scheduled from 3:10 when school ends until 4:00. Children attending an After School event may go by parent choice, or will be accompanied at 4:00, to After School Care until their parents arrival.

The After School Sports Program for grades 4 and 5 is instructed by the WCFS physical education teacher. Students learn skills and scrimmage in many different sports such as basketball, soccer, lacrosse and even ultimate Frisbee. From time to time interactive sports play with students from another school is scheduled.

Instrumental Music Lessons for grades 3, 4 and 5 are offered before and after school and are taught by private instructors who contract through the school. Students participate in a concert band that performs in school concerts; a jazz group and chamber orchestra are sometimes offered.
